This “Hummingbird” pattern allows you to create your own folded book art as pictured in the book above. The pattern requires 223 folds so you will need a book (preferably hard backed) with at least 446 pages and which is a minimum of 21 cms tall (8 inches).
The pattern is a template style with easy to read columns, which makes it more straightforward and quicker to use than most book folding patterns available. You do not need to measure and mark each page of the book before folding (who has time to do this on every sheet of a large book!). This pattern is a downloadable product and no physical item will be shipped. On completing your purchase, your files are ready to download immediately, so that you can get started on your project straight away. There will be 3 pdf files for you to download and print.

The clear and simple instructions include colour photos to guide you and there are many helpful tips along the way. If you want a different size, just use a photocopier that can increase or decrease copy sizes.

My first foray into paper folding! Really happy with my hummingbird project. I know how I will improve on the next. (Directions suggest a “bone folder” is nice, get one! Costs $7 and really helps with crisp folds). Already onto my second, you learn what works for you with the first project so don’t expect it to be perfect! Addicting and fun! Communication when I encountered what I thought was a hiccup was fast. Item “arrived” ready to print within a day at most.
